Institute, after a long thoughtful consideration,
has initiated value added programs along
with the regular classes following the syllabi
of both in 3yrs. Hons. Degree course in
Media Studies and 1yr. Post Graduate Diploma
course in Mass Communication and Journalism
so that the students can develop the skills
required by them for the highly competitive
job market for the present global demand.
This addition by the Institute and the process
to groom the students will not only make
them competent enough to face the challenges
to build up their career in this brave new
world but will also develop the self confidence
in them to face all the odds in life. |

This
value added programs include personality
development along with the skill in communicative
English and to be acquainted with the correct
pronunciation of the language and to understand
the same by screening of regular English
movies both classics and contemporary. This
direct methodology is applied during the
session along with Etiquette Module, Effective
Public Speaking/Presentation Module, Problem
Solving and Decision Making Module, Dressing
up for Success Module, Gearing up for the
Interview Module.

Apart
from the practical classes as per the syllabi
the Institute organizes regular workshops
in cinematography in video format including
editing and audio recording, editing and
mixing to build up the competence in the
vast field of audio-visual media. |

Regular
workshops are organized to develop the idea
generation skill and to transform them to
content writing for different web sites
and e marketing. The content writers are
also specifically groomed and trained to
develop story lines, script writings, screenplay
writing for films and television programs.
At the end of the courses the students are
required to make degree films and diploma
films as per the syllabi to complete the
practical papers. |
